Mobile operators

Three main networks: Viva-MTS (strongest overall coverage), Ucom, and Beeline (solid 4G/LTE mainly within Yerevan itself).

Tourist SIM & eSIM

A physical SIM is cheap (often ~100 AMD for the card) but needs an initial top-up of at least ~1,000 AMD. Both Viva-MTS ("TOURIST UNLIM") and Ucom ("uWelcome") sell tourist-oriented 15-day plans around 2,500 AMD with unlimited data and some local/international minutes. If you'd rather not swap a physical SIM, third-party eSIM resellers run on the same three networks. Treat these prices as approximate — check the operator's own kiosk at the airport or in the city for the current offer.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is standard in Yerevan cafés, restaurants and hotels. Coverage and reliability drop off noticeably once you're outside the city, in more rural or border regions.
